I attended The Crown Court at the Shirehall in Hereford on various days during this week. Sheriffs are meant to look after judges but in reality. HH Judge Pierce-Higgins QC, looked after me and explained the process. Although most of the time was spent on one particular case, I was impressed by how much other work was done by the court.

The main case presented a number of interesting issues and I was impressed by the humanity and care that all took to arrive at a just conclusion.
