On Monday 10th March 2014, Bob and Bea were delighted to visit the Hereford College of Arts.  The visit was organised by Gail Curley and hosted by the Principal of the College, Mr Richard Heatly.  Bob and Bea began their visit in the newly refurbished reception space which was hosting an art exhibition.  They were then taken on a tour of the College,  meeting students and seeing their work in fine art and design, jewellery making, glasswork, pottery and printmaking.  Next they visited the section catering for students with special needs.

They then visited the new premises in Venn’s Lane which had previously been used by the Royal National College for the Blind and the Teachers’ Training College and which has been renovated to cater for degree level and mature students.  This wonderful facility houses a practical workshop for students studying sculpture using all media.

Having visited the College of Arts Bob and Bea now understand why this college has gained such an impressive reputation.
