The High Sheriff accompanied by Liz Morgans attended the funeral of Olwyn Barnett at St Andrew’s Church, Presteigne. The Celebration of the Life of Olwyn was a great tribute to a wonderful lady who led a very full and varied life. The enthusiasm with which she approached whatever role she undertook was very well illustrated throughout the Service.
Tributes were made by Councillor Terry James and a Representative from St. Michael’s Hospice, Family Recollections were given by Michael Fitchett and a poem “God saw you getting Tired” was read by her Grand Daughter Sarah and a Bible reading from Ecclesiastes Chapter 3 by Councillor Chris Chappell. The Address was given by The Dean of Hereford Cathedral The Very Rev’d Michael Tavinor.
