Edward Harley DL installed as Lay Canon

At 3.30pm was a Choral event at the Hereford Cathedral and the installation of Edward Harley DL as a Lay Canon of the Foundation of Hereford Cathedral. Once again, a wonderful service.

NFU Horticultural Board

At 7.30am I attended a breakfast with guest speaker Ali Capper, Chairman of the NFU’s Horticultural Board.

At 8.30pm I attended a fundraising event for St John of Jerusalem Eye Hospital Group.

Hereford Commendation Awards

At 6pm I attended the Hereford Commendation Awards at the Town Hall, Hereford. Presentation of the Long Service Good Conduct Models, High Sherriff’s Awards, and the Sir John Foley Trophy. The bravery and commitment of not only the police, but the general public is amazing.

Lunch to celebrate Chief Constable David Shaw’s retirement after 36 years in policing. I presented him with a High Sheriff award from Herefordshire, Shropshire and Worcestershire High Sheriffs.

Attended a service of Commemoration on the 75th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain.   Attended in court dress.

Grendon Court

Attended the Patron’s update of the NMite (Hereford University) at Grendon Court, with an update from Karen Usher and Bill Wiggin MP.   Exciting developments – need a further £500,000 to be raised!
