Bob and Bea were invited to attend a small reception given by The Precentor of the Cathedral, The Reverend Canon Andrew Piper before attending the JS Bach Christmas Oratorio at Hereford Cathedral on Saturday 1st February. It was an exceptional performance magnificently sung by the Hereford Cathedral Choir and soloists were Natalie Clifton-Griffith (soprano), William Towers (countertenor), Simon Wall (tenor) and Matthew Brook (bass). The music was performed by Marches Baroque with Peter Dyke on organ. The whole evening’s performance was superbly directed by Geraint Bowen, Director of Music at Hereford Cathedral. It was a truly uplifting and very special event and demonstrated what a wonderful asset the Cathedral and its music is to Hereford.
