The High Sheriff and his wife entertained c. 50 representatives from a wide range of Herefordshire Local History Societies at their house in Brampton Bryan. Jean O’Donell MBE,(President of the Woolhope Club & Local History Societies Day School Committee) , and Rhys Griffiths (Senior Archivist at the Hereford Record Office) both spoke. This was followed by a talk by the High Sheriff and tour of Brampton Bryan Hall. There was considerable enthusiasm for greater interaction between the Societies. .
