Bob and Bea were privileged to attend the Remembrance Day Service and Parade at the Town Hall and St Peter’s Square in Hereford on Sunday 10th November, as guests of the Mayor and Mayoress of Hereford.  It was a very moving Service led by the Reverend Prebendary Paul Towner, Vicar of St Peter’s & St James’ and the Mayor’s Chaplain. Also part of the Mayoral party were the Deputy Chairman of Herefordshire Council accompanied by the Chief Executive of Herefordshire Council.  Rear Admiral Philip Wilcocks CB, DSC, DL represented HM Lord-Lieutenant of Herefordshire, The Countess of Darnley JP.

After the uniformed Parade the Service began with the playing of The Last Post followed by two minutes silence and the Reveille.  Wreaths were then laid and Bob laid the High Sheriff’s wreath on behalf of the judiciary.  The Very Reverend Michael Tavinor, The Dean of Hereford gave a wonderful Address and at the end of the Service there was a March Past and the Salute was taken by Rear Admiral Wilcocks.
