The Hereford Cathedral School’s performance of Oliver – 30th January 2019

This evening was pure enjoyment, with as good a performance of the musical, Oliver, as one could hope for, performed by the young people of the Hereford Cathedral School with only Fagin played by Ben Abbott, the producer and a bit more senior. Those of us of a certain age remember Lionel Bart’s Musical when it originally was performed and, as Maria Price, the Director, says in the programme, we reckon that we know the music off by heart. David Evans, HCS’s Director of Music was faithful to what we all remember. A very talented cast, a great band and fine production team all came together in a highly professional performance.

Thank you, Charles Dickens.
