High Sheriff Herefordshire for 2026-2027, Tamsin Clive

I am honoured to be High Sheriff for Herefordshire for 2026/7. During my year I am supporting agencies and charities whose work directly or indirectly impacts on the law and order of the county. I have a particular interest in the rural community, the effects of isolation, deprivation and rural crime. I am trying to throw a light on the work being done to support this community.

As High Sheriff of Herefordshire, I am succeeding Helen Bowden who had such an inspiring year. The role is ceremonial and unpaid, a royal appointment to support the Crown and the judiciary. It is also a unique opportunity to meet people from all quarters; those involved in enforcement and protection; and those who may be drawn into crime through circumstances as well as the many in voluntary organisations doing their level best to give them a better path. I’ve already been privileged to meet so many people working across the sector in varying capacities, many supporting adults, families and young people in challenging circumstances.

It is rewarding and inspiring to meet those working so hard to help others. There are so many organisations doing their best and making a huge difference but many need more support which is why I have set up this page. Every penny will be routed through the High Sheriff Fund which is allocated to deserving causes and organisations through the expert auspices of the Herefordshire Community Foundation. On their behalf, thank you in anticipation for any donations you make.

I would also welcome contact from individuals or organisations who might benefit from support during my shrieval year.
