The High Sheriff accompanied by his daughter attended the Hereford Street Pastors Annual Commissioning Service at the Hereford Baptist Church.  Also in attendance was the Lord Lieutenant of Herefordshire, Superintendent Susan Thomas, the new Bishop of Hereford and the Bishops of Dar-es-Salem and Masasi along with the Right Worshipful Mayor of Hereford. The Reverend Jason Borlase, Hereford Baptist Church, took the Service.  The Commissioning was carried out by the Bishop of Hereford.  Susan Thomas, Police Superintendent  and Helen Coombes, Director of Adult Social Care and Health spoke of the work of the Street Pastors.  Tony Winter and Colonel Robbie Hall spoke of their experiences and the benefits of the Street Pastors.  Both had had deeply moving journeys in Christ.  Afterwards there was a chance to meet some of the Street Pastors and to discuss their work and the great benefits they bring to the City.  This was a very vibrant Service and it was a privilege to see so many volunteers expressing their faith in such a tangible fashion.
