Bob and Bea had a fascinating visit to two fire stations in Herefordshire on Wednesday 2nd October as guests of the Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service.  They firstly visited the fire station at Peterchurch and were greeted by Area Commander Keith Chance and District Commander for the West District Rob Ball.  They were given a tour of the on-site Strategic Training Facility and a tour of the fire station, equipment and Restricted Access Vehicle.

They followed that with a visit to the Hereford fire station and were given a  tour of the station by Area Commander Chance and Commander Ball and were introduced to crew members and District staff.  They attended a show and tell session of equipment and an ultra-heavy rescue pump.

Both Bob and Bea were incredibly impressed by the dedication and hard work of all the staff and crew they met.  They were also very impressed by the technology now used by fire and rescue services and by the professionalism shown by everyone.
