Bob was delighted to visit the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire on Monday 23rd September by kind invitation of the High Sheriff of Staffordshire, Miss Susie Lillingston.  Also on the visit was Mrs Diana Flint, High Sheriff of Shropshire and her husband.  After a 2 minute Silence in the Chapel at 11am, the guests were taken on a tour of the Arboretum in buggies.  The National Memorial Arboretum covers 150 acres and contains 50,000 trees as well as over 160 memorials including the Armed Forces Memorial.  It is a very beautiful and deeply moving place.  After the  morning tour all the guests enjoyed lunch and then spent another few hours completing their tour.
