WEST MERCIA POLICE CADET INDUCTION DAY – 6TH SEPTEMBER 2014

19/09/2014

By 2014 Major Patrick Darling

West Mercia Police are running a Cadet programme aimed at young people between 16 – 18 years of age.  The scheme focuses on leadership and team working skills whilst working towards  a formal accreditation.  With Police recruiting restarting after three years the presence of a vibrant Cadet force is a valuable tool in suppling top quality recruits for the Police. It was an honour to be present a their induction day at Hindlip and to inspect and talk to the Cadets from  Herefordshire. I wish them all well as they start out on this journey in their lives. The parade was beautifully run by ACC Gareth Morgan.  The Chief Constable David Shaw and the Police and Crime Commissioner Bill Longmore both addressed the Cadets.
