At 5.30pm I attended YSS at Worcester Cathedral, celebrating 30 years with a lecture given by Professor Nick Hardwick, Chairman of the Parole Board, former Chief Inspector of Prisons. The title of the talk was ‘People who never make mistakes never make anything – managing risk in the criminal justice system’. It was a thought provoking talk, especially about the penal system.
