Bob and Bea attended the Commemoration Service for the 60th Anniversary of the Ceasefire of the Korean War in the afternoon of Sunday 4th August.  The Service was held at St Peter’s Church, Hereford and was attended by HM Lord Lieutenant of Herefordshire The Countess of Darnley JP: the Chairman of Herefordshire Council, Councillor Olwyn Barnett and the Right Worshipful The Mayor of Hereford as well as Mayors from other County Towns and Veterans from the War.  Organised by Clare Wichbold, the event was a great success and a fitting tribute to those who fought in and in some cases lost their lives in the Korean War.  At the Tea in the Shirehall afterwards Bob spoke to a number of Herefordians who had been sent out to Korea as young men and were able to recount in vivid details their experiences.
